My name is Jess Van Noy and I am an aspiring landscape architect/urban planner in Salt Lake City, Utah.

I graduated from Virginia Tech in 2016 with a Bachelor's degree in Landscape Architecture (BLA). Currently,  I live in Salt Lake City working for Salt Lake County as a homeless planner/policy analyst in the Mayor's Initiatives and Special Project Department. Though I had very little interest in the public sector while in college, I have gained a great appreciation for and interest in the opportunities the public sector provides - particularly when it comes to impact in the community and policy that can better environmental professions.

I am in the process of pursuing a LEED Green Associate certification and volunteer my time with several environmental non-profits to both educate the public about environmental justice and lend my skills/expertise to those organizations.
